To use e-disk demo version just try to enter the serial number 3 times (type in whatever you feel like, or just click OK three times) and the copy will turn into the demo version. Then if you feel like purchasing it, you can use the register by phone button on the screen which will come up each time you start it up.
This will expand your disk only by a factor of 1.5 as apposed to 2,3, or 4 times as in the real version 1.2.

You have to reformat your drive to install it, but it is easily removed once you are using it. The best way to see if it is for you is to try it. My tests showed that it greatly speeds up disk reads, while it slow down the writing some. But don't take my word for it, try the demo!
